Role Overview

We are looking for a Django Developer Intern to join our tech team and contribute to building scalable and secure backend systems for Khwaaish. This is a great opportunity to gain real-world exposure to product development in a fast-growing startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services using Django + Django REST Framework

Implement JWT-based authentication and authorization

Integrate and manage Razorpay payment gateway workflows

Work with PostgreSQL for database design and queries

Use Git/GitHub for version control, branching, and collaborative workflows

Debug, test, and optimize backend performance for scalability

What We’re Looking For

Strong knowledge of Python + Django

Hands-on experience with REST APIs and JWT auth

Familiarity with payment integrations (Razorpay preferred)

Good understanding of PostgreSQL (schemas, joins, indexing, etc.)

Exposure to Docker and containerized deployments

Understanding of microservices and distributed systems basics

Comfortable with Git/GitHub workflows (PRs, branching, reviews)

Problem-solving attitude, eager to learn and build in a startup environment

Learning Opportunities

Learn to build and deploy secure payment systems

Work on scalable microservices architectures

Exposure to CI/CD workflows, Docker, and Git-based collaboration
