The Director of Compensation & Benefits is a strategic HR leader responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization’s compensation, benefits programs and HRIS. This role ensures market competitiveness, internal equity, regulatory compliance, and alignment with business objectives. The Director provides strategic guidance to senior leadership while overseeing the execution of compensation and benefits policies, programs, and processes across the organization. The Director will also analyze market data, evaluate jobs, manage budgets, communicate policies, and design retention strategies.
To be successful in this role, you should have good knowledge of labor legislation and be familiar with organizational psychology and employee engagement.
Ultimately, you will build fair and attractive compensation and benefits plans that help us improve employee satisfaction and create a productive workplace.

Requirements
- Ensure that the organization’s compensation and benefits practices comply with legal requirements and regulations
- Stay updated on labor laws, tax regulations and other legal requirements related to compensation and benefits to ensure compliance
- Analyze market salary data to ensure that our compensation packages are competitive
- Benchmark the organization’s compensation and benefits packages against industry standards
- Oversee our employee benefits program, such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other perks
- Work on strategies to retain top talent, such as retention bonuses, performance-based bonuses, career development programs, or employee recognition initiatives
- Create customized compensation and benefits solutions, such as flexible work arrangements or wellness programs
- Communicate compensation and benefits policies and changes to employees, addressing their questions and concerns
- Evaluate jobs within the organization to determine their relative worth and establish appropriate salary ranges
- Work with finance and HR departments to develop and manage the compensation and benefits budget
- Draft job descriptions, job analyses and classifications
- Drive development of standardized reports, dashboards, KPIs, compensation metrics, and workforce analytics to support business decisions.
- Establish and enforce data governance practices to ensure accuracy, integrity, and controlled access to HR data.
- Partner with IT, Payroll, Finance, and benefit systems to manage file feeds, interfaces, testing, and vendor platforms.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance automation, and improve employee and manager self-service.
- Proven experience as a Compensation and Benefits Manager or similar role
- BS in HR, business administration, or a related field, HR certifications in CCP or CEBS a plus
- Good knowledge of labor legislation and tax regulations related to compensation and benefits
- Knowledge of building compensation packages and bonus programs for various departments and seniority levels
- Familiarity with organizational psychology and employee engagement as well as employee satisfaction surveys
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR software
