[DevOps Engineer - Remote]

Join our growing engineering team to help build and maintain high-availability infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments. We are seeking a passionate DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and automation tools like Docker and Terraform. You’ll work on scaling systems, automating deployments, and improving platform reliability for modern, distributed applications.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS or DigitalOcean using best practices.
Build, manage, and monitor Kubernetes clusters (both self-hosted and cloud-managed, e.g., Digital Ocean).
Develop and manage Docker-based microservices, including CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar tools.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform.
Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
Support and manage Linux-based servers in both virtualized (e.g., VMware, Proxmox) and cloud environments.
Maintain and secure application gateways and load balancers using Nginx.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain backend services including PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to streamline development workflows and deployment pipelines.

Required Technical Experience:

Hands-on experience with AWS services such as RDS, CloudFront, Redis, Lambda, MediaConvert, and SQS.
Expertise in setting up and managing Kubernetes clusters (self-hosted or via cloud providers).
Strong skills in Docker, container orchestration, and microservice architecture.
Proficient in writing Terraform scripts for infrastructure automation.
Solid knowledge of Linux system administration, shell scripting, and security hardening.
Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware and/or Proxmox.
Practical understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, or similar).
Experience managing and tuning PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis in production environments.
Knowledge of reverse proxies and load balancing with Nginx.

Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 3 years of relevant DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering experience.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Good communication skills and a proactive, self-starting attitude.
Willingness to learn new tools and adapt to evolving infrastructure needs.

Work Hours:

Training Period (One Month): 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM Vietnam Time, work hours may vary
After their training period, their shift will transition to: 04:00 AM to 01:00 PM (Central Time), work hours may vary (with one hour break in between)

Hiring Process:

Initial Interview – with Recruiter
Technical Test – via TestGorilla platform
Final Interview – face-to-face with Client (SMBC), scheduled between July 21–24, 2025
Second Assessment (if required) – Cognitive test using Criteria platform
Onboarding – upon successful selection
