- Advanced Subject Mastery: Deep knowledge of data collection methods, data cleaning, descriptive statistics, data visualization, spreadsheet analysis, SQL querying, basic statistical inference, pivot tables, and reporting dashboards. Ability to explain data types, summary statistics, correlation analysis, and visualization best practices while preparing students for business analysis roles, analytics positions, and data-driven decision-making responsibilities.
- Conceptual Teaching & Problem-Solving: Skilled at teaching data manipulation, visualization creation, and insight extraction from data sets. Guides students through importing and cleaning data, calculating summary statistics, creating charts and dashboards, writing SQL queries for data retrieval, and presenting findings with actionable recommendations. Emphasizes practical analytical skills and connects data analysis to marketing, operations, finance, and strategic business decisions.
- Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with data analysis curricula and common challenges such as handling messy real-world data, choosing appropriate visualization types, and translating data findings into business recommendations. Adapts instruction using Excel, Google Sheets, SQL platforms, and visualization tools like Tableau to support students from spreadsheet beginners through intermediate analysts building professional data analysis capabilities.
- Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
