Customer Service Representative - $18.00 per hour


About the Role


This opportunity is for a detail-oriented and service-driven Customer Service Representative who is passionate about helping individuals navigate important benefit-related processes.


This role focuses on providing professional, compassionate, and efficient support to customers through phone and email communication. A clear phone presence, strong listening skills, and a commitment to resolving concerns are essential for success.


Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


What You’ll Do


  • Interact with customers via telephone and email to provide support and information regarding services
  • Collect, verify, and enter customer information accurately into internal systems
  • Respond to customer questions and complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Escalate complex issues to specialists or appropriate team members when necessary
  • Ensure proper follow-up actions are taken to fully resolve customer concerns
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, inquiries, complaints, and resolutions
  • Perform additional related administrative duties as assigned


Qualifications


  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required; Associate’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years of telephone-based customer service or call center experience
  • Prior experience handling inbound or outbound calls required
  • Auto dialer experience highly preferred
  • Ability to speak and type simultaneously
  • Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute (typing test required)
  • Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent active listening and problem-solving abilities
  • Service-oriented mindset with the ability to resolve customer grievances
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software systems
  • Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate digital records
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Reliable attendance and ability to remain seated for extended periods


Remote Work Requirements


  • Must reside in one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, NC, NV, PA, SC, TX, or WV
  • Must maintain a quiet, distraction-free home office environment
  • Must have a desk, chair, and basic home office setup
  • Personal high-speed internet required (Wi-Fi not permitted; must use a wired ethernet connection)
  • Minimum internet speed of 100 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload
  • Must remain logged into the work system and available to answer calls during scheduled work hours


Compensation: $18.00 per hour
