Role Description

Kanku Fincorp is seeking a versatile and imaginative Creative Writer for a remote, contract-based role. The ideal candidate will craft engaging and original written content across a variety of formats including web copy, campaign messaging, storytelling features, and brand communications. This role requires a strong creative voice, adaptability, and a talent for shaping ideas that resonate with diverse audiences.


Key Responsibilities

1. Develop original written content for blogs, websites, campaigns, social media, and branded materials

2. Collaborate with the content and design teams to conceptualise and execute creative messaging strategies.

3. Adapt tone, voice, and style to align with different brand identities and audience profiles.

4. Transform financial or technical subjects into engaging and relatable narratives.

5. Edit and refine content based on feedback and project goals while maintaining originality.

6. Stay current with trends in storytelling, content formats, and audience engagement.


Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

1. Demonstrated experience in creative writing across multiple formats and platforms.

2. Strong command of storytelling, tone, structure, and persuasive writing techniques.

3. Ability to write for both B2B and B2C audiences.

4. Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.

5. Self-motivated and able to deliver high-quality work independently under remote deadlines.


Preferred Skills and Background

6. Background in advertising, media, content marketing, or publishing.

7. Experience writing for finance, lifestyle, or digital brands.


Education

Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Equivalent creative experience in writ

ing and content development will also be considered.
