Corporate Counsel

Saatva is seeking a proactive and entrepreneurial Corporate Counsel with 3+ years of experience to join our legal team. The Corporate Counsel will serve as the second-in-command of Whitestone’s legal department and will report directly to the General Counsel. This position offers the chance to help define how legal and compliance support the business, establish processes, and drive solutions that balance risk with commercial needs. It is well suited for a strong generalist who enjoys variety and wants to contribute at both strategic and hands-on levels. In this role you will support all major business functions, with emphasis on employment law, commercial contracts, consumer protection, and e-commerce. The role spans domestic and international work, giving you exposure to a broad legal landscape. As the business continues to expand across the retail and e-commerce landscape, Saatva is growing its legal team to support that scale. This role represents a rare opportunity to help build a modern in-house legal function within a fast-moving consumer brand. This role is fully remote. Given operational needs, we prefer candidates located in California and possessing California Bar membership.

Note: This role is being handled by Saatva internally and we are not accepting any applicants through recruiting or search firms.

What Makes This Opportunity Unique?

This is a true ground-floor legal role. As only the second legal hire in company history, you will have wide latitude to shape the legal function, build operational discipline, and directly influence how the business scales. The company’s growth trajectory ensures the work stays challenging, global, and high impact. You will operate cross-functionally with leadership in retail, sales, operations, product, marketing, finance, and HR while developing long-term systems that support a rapidly expanding organization. The role is intentionally designed as a leadership-track opportunity.
