Role Overview

As a Clinical Coordinator (CC) at Outro, you’ll blend clinical RN responsibilities with operational support to keep care workflows running smoothly. You’ll play a key role in triaging patient messages, handling clinically appropriate tasks, and coordinating between patients, clinicians, and pharmacies to ensure a seamless experience. This is an excellent fit for an RN who thrives in a virtual care environment and enjoys structured, patient-facing operational work.


What You’ll Do

Clinical RN Support

  • Triage and resolve patient clinical questions within RN scope and established protocols
  • Provide clinical guidance and education through messaging
  • Identify risk concerns and surface cases to prescribing clinicians when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate, high-quality documentation to support continuity of care

Inbox & Workflow Support

  • Manage a significant portion of patient messaging in clinical queues
  • Prioritize and route messages to the appropriate team members
  • Flag urgent cases to ensure timely follow-up
  • Help maintain message turnaround times and consistent communication standards

Medication & Care Coordination

  • Assist with refill triage and medication-related clarifications
  • Support lab coordination, pharmacy follow-ups, and other clinical tasks
  • Collaborate with schedulers and clinical support to close communication loops efficiently
  • Follow internal SOPs to ensure safe, compliant workflows

Quality & Safety

  • Adhere to clinical protocols and documentation standards
  • Participate in periodic audits or reviews as needed
  • Support incident reporting and safety monitoring processes


What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves

  • Active, unrestricted RN license (compact preferred; CA preferred)
  • 2–3+ years of RN experience in outpatient, telehealth, or similar patient-facing settings
  • Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and reliability
  • Excellent written communication skills and comfort in a messaging-heavy environment
  • Ability to navigate digital tools and EHR systems with ease

Good-to-Haves

  • Experience in virtual care or mental health settings
  • Familiarity with task-based workflows and interdisciplinary communication
  • Exposure to documentation review or protocol-driven operations
  • Experience coordinating with pharmacies or supporting medication workflows
