Business Analyst


LeverageTek is actively seeking a Business Analyst (Improving People Data) for a 5-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Key tasks

  • Review and validate SAP ECC org management data related to positions, ensuring accurate titles and descriptions
  • Audit and correct reporting relationships and flag inconsistencies such as missing or dual reporting structures
  • Identify gaps in processes with org management on vacancy status to reflect open/filled positions accurately across organizational units
  • Validate account assignment features such as Personnel Area/Subarea for each position
  • Support the classification of positions with internal stakeholders
  • Working with our reporting team, document and report on position control metrics, including filled vs. vacant positions, reporting gaps, and structural inconsistencies
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure position data supports workforce planning and budget alignment
  • Provide recommendations for improving position control processes and data governance
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager



Key Qualifications (top 3 quals)

  • Experience in process mapping and business workflow documentation.
  • Intermediate to senior-level SAP ECC 6.0 expertise — particularly in Personnel Administration and Organizational Management, including org units, positions, jobs, relationships, and vacancy management.
  • Familiarity with SAP reporting tools such as SPINIFEX



Qualifications

  • Intermediate to senior-level expertise in SAP ECC, specifically in Personnel Administration and org management.
  • They should have a strong understanding of org units, positions, jobs), relationships, and vacancy management.
  • The candidate must have at least 3–5 years of experience in process mapping and documenting business workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication in English (written and verbal) are essential.
  • Experience with SAP reporting tools and testing methodologies is required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams is critical.
