Bridge Point UG provides financial and operational services to a growing US-based SaaS company in the healthcare sector. Our Munich-based team handles financial operations for US clients in an English-speaking, remote-first environment with American company culture.
Role Description
This is a part-time remote role (30-32 hours/week) for a Bookkeeper/Controller based in Munich. As our first finance hire, you'll build financial operations systems from the ground up for our US client.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online for a SaaS business
- Implementing and managing expense management systems (preferred vendor is Ramp)
- Designing and building reconciliation processes between CRM systems (subscription management), payment processors, and accounting software
- Month-end close and financial reporting
- Managing revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and SaaS metrics (MRR/ARR)
- Partnering with leadership on financial planning and analysis
- Identifying operational needs and eventually hiring/managing a second team member
This is a systems-building role with real autonomy. You'll design processes that work for a growing SaaS business and have direct access to leadership. All work is conducted in English.
Qualifications
- 5+ years bookkeeping and accounting experience
- QuickBooks Online expertise
- Experience with SaaS or subscription-based business models
- Understanding of revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and SaaS financial metrics
- Systems thinking - ability to design financial processes from scratch
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Fluent English (German not required, all work conducted in English)
- Legal right to work in Germany
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and payment processors (e.g., Stripe) is a plus
- US GAAP knowledge is a plus
- Special consideration for candidates with experience building finance operations at a growing company
- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members is a plus
