Epic Patient Access Principal Trainer

Remote (Raleigh/Durham, NC)

We are seeking an experienced Epic-certified Principal Trainer – Patient Access to support a large-scale EHR implementation initiative within a state healthcare environment. This role will lead the development and execution of the Patient Access training strategy and ensure training materials and environments meet Epic standards.

Required Epic Certifications

Candidates must be certified in the following:

  • Grand Central Curriculum Certification
  • Prelude Curriculum Certification
  • Cadence Curriculum Certification
  • TED105 – Training Wheels Behind the Scenes
  • TED300 – Training Environment Build Certification

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive, role-based training programs
  • Design, develop, and maintain instructional materials and documentation
  • Maintain policy and procedure documentation
  • Incorporate feedback into training materials and processes
  • Build, test, and troubleshoot MST training environments
  • Collaborate with SMEs and cross-functional teams
  • Deliver classroom and virtual training sessions
  • Provide post-training support to end users
  • Lead train-the-trainer initiatives
  • Train and credential additional classroom trainers
  • Present complex technical topics clearly and effectively
  • Prioritize assignments and adhere to project timelines

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as an Epic-certified Principal Trainer
  • Certified in Cadence Enterprise Scheduling, Prelude Registration, and Grand Central Patient Flow (Transfer Center preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in adult education (health IT or revenue cycle preferred)
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to manage timelines and deliver high-quality training materials
  • Ability to quickly learn new content and translate it into effective training programs
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and summarize complex material

Highly Desired

  • 3+ years of experience building Epic training environments
