Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an Administrative and Billing Specialist. The role includes managing daily administrative tasks, ensuring efficient billing processes, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities also include handling client inquiries, providing excellent customer service, and coordinating with internal teams to support the organization’s objectives. The specialist will also perform general office duties and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Analytical and Finance skills with the ability to manage billing, financial records, and data analysis
- Proficiency in Administrative Assistance to handle scheduling, organization, and general office tasks
- Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Familiarity with billing software, financial systems, and basic accounting principles is a plus
- Prior experience in healthcare, wellness, or a related field is beneficial
Virtual Assistant Responsibilities:
- Contacting insurance companies to verify coverage for nutrition services
- Assistance with denied insurance claims
- Calculating employee hours for payroll
- Reach out to other clinics to market our services
- Create handouts for marketing purposes
- Organize correspondence and answer emails
- Handle confidential employer, employee, and client information
- Assistance with tracking client referrals/retention, claims, and expenses
- Organize electronic filing systems
- Streamline processes for the practice to be more efficient
- Manage social media account(s) and replies (minimal)
- Prepare and create PowerPoint presentations and materials as needed; research materials and sources for presentations (minimal)
Virtual Assistant Requirements and Qualifications:
- 1+ year experience as a Virtual Assistant or relevant role
- Knowledge with medical billing/insurance
- Strong customer service skills
- Caring and compassionate demeanor
- Experience with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) and Google Doc/Sheets
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent; college education preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
