Be part of our client’s team as an Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper, handling financial data entry, CSV bank file processing, invoice reconciliation, and accurate account mapping. You'll manage records using tools like Datev and Mika, assist with year-end reporting, and ensure every transaction is categorized and client-ready for submission.

Your Daily Tasks

Manage manual data entry and validate financial transactions for clients
Download and process CSV bank files for system upload
Map financial data accurately in accordance with SKR 03/04 chart of accounts
Reconcile client invoices, including managing backdated entries
Maintain complete and accurate financial records using tools like Mika and Datev
Classify uncategorized transactions with the correct accounting categories
Review and complete task checklists and “to-dos” within the accounting system
Assist in preparing year-end financial reports and E-Bilanz submissions
Collaborate to deliver final balance sheets for tax filing and compliance

The Qualifications We Seek

Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience
Familiarity with or ability to work in compliance with German bookkeeping/accounting standards
Hands-on experience with Datev or similar accounting software
Experience preparing year-end closing procedures
Proven ability to reconcile invoices and prepare financial data for submission
Strong Excel/CSV skills and ability to work with raw financial data
Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
Fluent in English; ability to speak or understand German is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

Educational background in finance, accounting, or business administration
Previous experience with Datev or comparable accounting systems
Experience in a startup or high-growth, fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
