Position Summary 

Engineered Intelligence Inc. is looking for an Account Executive, with SaaS sales experience and/or experience in regulated industries.  In this role, the idea of consultative sales and building meaningful relationships with your clients should excite you.  This role is an individual contributor role.  You will have an assigned sales target that is expected to be achieved. One of our core differentiators is the experience and support our clients receive, this role will include shared responsibility with the Sales Team for the performance of the company’s revenue. The successful candidate is uniquely qualified to leverage cross-functional teams (marketing, product development and infrastructure), have a strong interest in complex enterprise software sales, working with regulated businesses, and ready to learn about their common buying processes and challenges. This position is meant for those seeking to join an early-stage company and be compensated with long term equity-based incentives. 


The ideal candidate will have: 

  • 3+ years of experience in business development at a top engineering technology or other market leading company.  
  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a technical specialization (business, applied sciences, engineering, information technology) 
  • Business development experience in the utility or engineering technology industries.  
  • Effective networking and relationship management skills, with existing working relationships at power delivery utilities 
  • Motivated team player with the ability to operate independently and take initiative to grow our business

  • Understanding of intermediate statistics and financial engineering concepts.  
  • Work experience in asset management or electrical power system planning at a utility or consulting company. 


Role/Responsibilities: 

  • Lead Generation & Qualification: Identify and generate new business opportunities through various channels. Evaluate and qualify leads to ensure they fit the company's ideal customer profile  
  • Sales Presentations & Demonstrations: Conduct compelling sales presentations and work with the technical team presenting product demonstrations to prospective clients 
  • Relationship Building & Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations to foster long-term partnerships. 
  • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies and campaigns to meet revenue targets and business objectives.  Conduct market research to understand trends and competitive landscape 
  • Account Management: Oversee the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, to managing the implementation process and identifying opportunities for upselling. 
  • Customer Feedback & Product Improvement: Gather feedback from clients about product improvements or expansions and communicate it to the product development and marketing teams  
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and sales activities,  
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with company policies and objectives. 
  • Performance Reporting: Generate and analyze sales reports to track performance against targets, 
  • Travel and Events: Be willing to travel extensively, attend conferences, client meetings and industry events
