Position: Technical Program Manager

Type: Contract

Compensation: $105–$130/hour

Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

Deliver programs within constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget. Manage moderate-probability, moderate-impact risk factors.
Engage in program-level strategic planning and interact with executive management. Resolve complex issues and build effective teams.
Partner with Product Design Engineering to define and execute next-gen hardware products.
Coordinate and drive engineering design deliverables, including specifications, DOEs, and validation plans.
Work with cross-functional teams to develop best practices and technology development processes in a fast-paced environment.
Manage delivery of hardware components for development builds. Drive qualification to meet mass production timelines.

Qualifications

Must-Have

Experience as a technology development program manager or engineering lead in consumer electronics.
Experience in ODM, JDM, and CM vendor engagement models.
Knowledge of phase gate approach to technology development programs.
Experience with mechanical system development, DFM, tooling, and validation processes.
Experience communicating and collaborating with technical management teams.
Demonstrated skills in organization, coordination, and multitasking.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with program top-issue tracking.
Experience operating across multiple projects.
Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.
Maintains composure in times of ambiguity and direction changes.
Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
PMP or PMI certification.

Preferred

MBA or other related advanced degree.
