Role Description

This is a full-time remote position for a Mandarin OPI/VRI Interpreter. The interpreter will be responsible for facilitating real-time communication between individuals with language barriers via over-the-phone (OPI) and video remote interpreting (VRI) platforms. Day-to-day tasks include accurately translating spoken conversations in Mandarin and English, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring cultural nuances are conveyed appropriately. The role demands professionalism, punctuality, and adherence to company protocols for quality interpretation services.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Mandarin and English, with strong oral interpretation skills
Experience with over-the-phone interpreting (OPI) and video remote interpreting (VRI) platforms is a plus
Strong understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to interpret with accuracy and sensitivity
Excellent listening, concentration, and memory retention skills
Technical proficiency with remote communication tools and software
Certification in interpretation or professional language services is a plus
Familiarity with industry-specific terminology in healthcare, legal, or business sectors is a bonus
