Kynect Database Curator/211 Navigator (Remote)

POSITION
This role is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely resource information within the Kynect Resources platform and providing technical and onboarding support to community partners. This role reflects the core functions of the 211 Resource Specialist but is dedicated exclusively to Kynect-related data input, updating, and partner support.
This position also provides telephonic support to the 211 Contact Center, assisting callers by offering information, referrals, and resource navigation as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is 100% remote and must comply with the UWBG remote work policy. Home office must have reliable internet access and limited distractions. Regular travel is not required. Occasional travel to UWBG staff meetings.
EXPECTED WORK HOURS
Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week. Work schedule set within 7:30 AM–6:00 PM. Occasional evenings/weekends may be required.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to communicate clearly via phone and email, read and enter data for extended periods, and lift up to 20 lbs.

Essential Functions
Kynect Resource Database Management
- Research, gather, verify, and update human service information within Kynect Resources.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of all Kynect resource entries.
- Apply taxonomy standards (HSIS/211 LA County taxonomy) to code and categorize services.
- Develop new resource records using research, direct communication with agencies, and standard collection methods.
- Review, approve, or deny community partner access requests within Kynect Resources.
- Provide technical assistance to partners, including logging in, closing referrals, and navigating Kynect.
- Assist partners with onboarding steps and direct them to training materials.
- Conduct outbound follow-ups on open referrals to confirm whether needs were met and close referrals in Kynect.
- Coordinate with agencies to support timely responses.
- Answer incoming 211 calls as part of shared team coverage.
- Provide accurate information and appropriate referrals to community resources.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community services and contact center procedures.
- Maintain documentation, statistical information, and activity logs.
- Assist in developing reports or data summaries.
- Participate in staff meetings.
- Assist with department work plans and special projects.

- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years experience in human services, nonprofit, or related field.
- Experience with data entry or resource databases preferred.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience supporting or training external partners preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
