Position Summary

The Key Account Representative is responsible for managing and growing strategic customer relationships across the East Coast, with a primary focus on the Southeast region. This role involves developing account strategies, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction through regular engagement and tailored solutions. The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship-driven sales professional with a strong understanding of regional market dynamics and a willingness to travel extensively.


Core Duties and Responsibilities

Account Management & Growth:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts in the Southeast region.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas by successfully implementing sales and marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to new or existing accounts.
  • Monitor account performance and proactively address issues or concerns.


Customer Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders. Ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Troubleshoot and Address customer questions/complaints
  • Conduct regular in-person and virtual meetings to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
  • Train Dealer and Distributor Reps and hold workshops to enhance the skills of outside partners.


Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Create and implement individualized customer sales strategies to achieve sales targets and meet organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, customer success) to align strategies.
  • Generate leads and drive new business development by identifying and pursuing prospective clients and/or partners within the Southeast region, expanding the company’s footprint and market share.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and maintain CRM records.
  • Track and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • All other duties and tasks assigned according to business needs.


Education and Required Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • 5 years of B2B sales or account management experience, preferably in a regional or field-based role.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools.
  • Based in or near a major Southeast/East metro area.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Experience in automotive or lighting industry (preferred)

  • REMOTE - SOUTHEAST REGION
  • 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday (some nights and weekends may be required)
  • Fast paced environment with occasional interruptions.
  • Regularly required to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operator computer keyboard / perform assembly techniques
  • Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, rarely lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
