Description:

The IT Operations Analyst plays a key role within the IT Business Management Office (BMO), supporting strategic planning, operational execution, and delivery across the IT organization. This position is responsible for ensuring consistency with Trinity Health’s enterprise standards for internal materials and messaging, managing centralized IT engagement efforts, auditing and administering IT SharePoint environments, and leading initiatives related to the organization, presentation, and accessibility of information. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal skills, along with demonstrated experience in facilitating programs, developing processes, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and driving both tactical and strategic initiatives that align with organizational objectives.

In collaboration with IT leadership, this role supports the implementation, delivery, and oversight of internal IT initiatives to ensure alignment with Trinity Health’s operational goals, while also contributing to both tactical and strategic IT projects that advance key organizational priorities.

Essential Functions

  • Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
  • Evaluates IT communication engagement needs, assesses current practices organization and identifies areas for improvement.
  • Solves unique and complex operational problems that have a broad impact on the business. Serves in advisory roles.
  • Determines and develops appropriate procedures/standards in the absence of guidelines/protocols.
  • Conceptualizes well in an unstructured or multi-disciplinary environment with latitude for independent action.
  • Analyzes large data sets and develops reports on the overall performance of business segments; develops metrics to measure various characteristics of the business. Tracks, maintains, and provides current information on the operation’s business scorecard.
  • Applies basic proficiency in creating easy-to understand data visualizations that facilitate business decision making.
  • Facilitates meetings, demos, and training sessions with customers, either in person or via video conference.

  • Curates content and orchestrates delivery of information for IT town halls, business meetings, year-end artifacts, and other assets to strengthen the organization’s reputation.

Internal Engagement & Messaging

  • Acts as a representative of the IT business unit, ensuring consistent and professional messaging across all internal platforms.
  • Supports IT new hire orientation events in collaboration with departmental partners.
  • Develops and distributes emails, announcements, and updates that reflect the IT organization’s strategic direction.
  • Partners with IT leadership to craft messaging that supports change initiatives and fosters user engagement.

SharePoint Administration & Information Management

  • Administers and maintains internal IT SharePoint sites ensuring content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with Trinity Health standards.
  • Collaborates with the product and engineering teams to design and implement site structures, workflows, and permissions to support collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Manages IT specific digital content including documentation, training materials, policies, and other internal IT assets to support effective information management.

Program/Process Facilitation & Operations Support

  • Contributes to the planning, coordination, and tracking of strategic IT initiatives and projects.
  • Provides operational support through documentation management, scheduling, stakeholder communications, and risk monitoring.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams to ensure timely achievement of project milestones and alignment of deliverables with business objectives.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned to support overall IT operations and project success.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, information technology, business administration or a related field, and a minimum of four to six (4-6) years of experience in descriptive analytics of financial, resource planning or other operational data sets; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to communicate the analysis results meaningfully to varying audiences is required.
  • Advanced skills and experience using a variety of data analytics tools (such as Excel, Access, Tableau, Cube.js or similar) is required. Working knowledge of various programming languages is preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge in two or more (2+) business operations disciplines and supported business processes. Business operations disciplines include, but are not limited to, financial management, contract performance management, process improvement, vendor management and change leadership.
  • Enrollment and completion of PX Essentials and Root Cause Analysis training offered by Trinity Health, or equivalent certifications, completed within first twelve (12) months in this role.
  • Moderate to advanced analytical, problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, set priorities and lead department work initiatives. Must possess a willingness to work in teams and with direct supervision, while having the ability to work independently on a day-to-day basis.
  • Must be able to learn and develop skills, as well as receive constructive feedback.
  • Requires advanced written and verbal communication and presentation skills needed to discuss/explain issues which may be of a complex or sensitive nature and to garner support of others for issues and projects. Ability to engage in negotiation and resolution of standard issues.
  • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
  • Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health

Other Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a hybrid or enterprise IT environment.
  • Knowledge of change management and communication planning.
  • Graphic design or visual communication skills for internal branding.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or IT service management (e.g., ITIL Foundation).

  • Must be able to set and organize own work priorities and adapt to them as they change frequently. Must be able to work concurrently on a variety of tasks/projects in an environment that may be stressful with individuals having diverse personalities and work styles.
  • Must be able to travel to the various Trinity Health sites (10%) as needed.
  • Must possess the ability to comply with Trinity Health policies and procedures.
