Position Overview

Support our healthcare partners & help them thrive at Meduit! The Insurance Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations by guiding and leading staff serving as a leadership point person. Responsible for monitoring productivity & promoting timely completion of billing functions, leverages expertise in billing practices by maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of payer compliance practices, providing necessary education & feedback as necessary. This position is responsible for personnel development, implementing & maintaining business office policies & coaching their team.

The ideal candidate should have experience organizing work groups, coaching employees, monitoring progress, enforcing rules, and ensuring quality compliance. They must also possess strong communication and leaderships skills as well as the ability to resolve workplace issues effectively. The Supervisor will be excited about guiding, training, and supporting their team members and is highly motivated to help our company fulfill its larger mission. Key Responsibilities

  • Full working knowledge of billing and insurance collections and terminology: including government and non-government regulations for hospital and physician-based entities
  • Assist in implementing best practices and processes to maximize revenue and collection abilities
  • Participate in problem solving for clients to best meet performance targets
  • Participate in monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide insight to the daily operations, assure effectiveness, and guide continuous improvement
  • Ensure projects meet and exceed client expectations
  • Escalate and communicate timely to appropriate leadership any issues and/or concerns related to the client performance, and internal staff performance and quality
  • Participate in hiring and management of staff, overseeing competencies and performance expectations
  • Communicates with leadership ensuring processes are properly managed and staffing needs are appropriately allocated to each project
  • Participates in the preparation of month-end reporting to clients
  • Communicate regularly with leadership regarding client performance
  • Support and mentor team and staff using excellent interpersonal skills
  • Model company values on an ongoing basis

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years experience with healthcare transactions such as billing, insurance follow up, both government and non-government, hospital and physician, denials management, underpayments/zero payments, and other revenue cycle functions
  • 1-2 years of Supervisory or Leadership experience
  • Experience using common EHR systems, such as Epic, MEDITECH, Cerner, or Athena

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates or undergraduate degree in business administration, health care administration, or other relevant field of study
  • FQHC Experience

Additional Information

  • Pay: $56,000 - $62,400 per year + team performance incentives
  • Schedule: 8am-5pm Central Time Zone, Monday - Friday
  • Location: Remote
  • Anticipated start date: 01/05/2025
