This role is perfect for someone who loves turning data into meaningful stories that support smart decisions and improve outcomes.
We’re looking for someone with a PBM or healthcare background who enjoys working with data and has a strong business or math mindset. In this role, you’ll dig into clinical, financial, and operational data, using tools like SQL and advanced Excel to spot trends and turn complex information into clear, actionable insights.
You’ll help create polished presentations, support (and sometimes run) meetings, and partner closely with Account Management and state clients. We're looking for someone who is organized, professional, and comfortable owning their work.

Responsibilities
- Analyze, mine, and document complex healthcare claims and authorization datasets to identify patterns and trends using scripting, data blending, visualization, and statistical programming tools.
- Translate high‑level business problems into data‑driven insights, potential strategies, and actionable solutions.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, validate data sources, acquire datasets, and organize data into accessible, analysis‑ready formats.
- Interpret analytical results and present findings as compelling data stories that answer stakeholder questions and support decision‑making at all organizational levels.
- Identify and resolve complex business challenges through data analytics, statistical modeling, and appropriate methodological approaches.
- Perform ad hoc analyses of varying complexity, delivering clear, timely, and actionable insights aligned with business objectives.
- Provide detailed status updates and reporting on project progress, including task-level time allocation and milestones.
- Coordinate, guide, and mentor analytics work performed by internal staff and external consultants to ensure accurate and timely project delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Business, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High school diploma or GED required
- 2 years of work experience in healthcare analytics
Additional Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effective communicator able to translate and explain technical data and insights to non-technical audience
- Knowledge of pharmacy benefit structures, drug pricing and claims processing
- Familiarity with drug coding systems (NDC) and medical coding (ICD, CPT, HCPCS)
- Experience in a PBM, health plan, or payer organization
- Experienced with transact-SQL (MS SQL or Oracle)
- Experience with SAS, GCP, Python and/or other data mining tools
- Experience working with large datasets, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools
- First Databank, Medi-Span Experience
