Role Responsibilities

  • Review and proofread articles to ensure correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Verify factual accuracy and consistency of terminology and style.
  • Format text according to established editorial guidelines.
  • Coordinate with content writers and editors to clarify ambiguities and implement revisions.
  • Track changes and maintain version control for all proofread documents.
  • Meet daily and weekly proofreading targets to support publication schedules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in proofreading or copy editing.
  • Strong command of English grammar, usage, and style conventions.
  • Familiarity with common style guides (e.g., AP, Chicago).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Google Docs, including track-change features.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across multiple documents.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
