Role Responsibilities
- Review and proofread articles to ensure correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Verify factual accuracy and consistency of terminology and style.
- Format text according to established editorial guidelines.
- Coordinate with content writers and editors to clarify ambiguities and implement revisions.
- Track changes and maintain version control for all proofread documents.
- Meet daily and weekly proofreading targets to support publication schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in proofreading or copy editing.
- Strong command of English grammar, usage, and style conventions.
- Familiarity with common style guides (e.g., AP, Chicago).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Google Docs, including track-change features.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across multiple documents.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
