Our client specializes in enabling machines to perceive their environment in 3D and in real time by utilizing only passive sensors, such as cameras and inertial measurement units (IMUs). Their innovative technology processes video from automotive-grade cameras to generate a detailed, semantic 3D representation of the world, which vehicles and robots use for navigation. This solution serves as a fully redundant alternative to traditional LiDAR and radar systems. The company serves various sectors, including automotive, agriculture, healthcare, and defense. While their headquarters are in Silicon Valley, this position is fully and permanently remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop deep learning pipelines for computer vision applications. Create, train, and deploy sophisticated networks for tasks including:

Semantic segmentation
Depth estimation
Object detection
SLAM
Various applications associated with 3D scene understanding

QUALIFICATIONS:

Solid background in machine learning
3+ years of academic or professional hands-on experience in creating and implementing deep learning pipelines for image and/or video data.
Proficient in Python.
Extensive knowledge of PyTorch.
B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card holder)

‘PLUS’ QUALIFICATIONS (Nice to Have but Not Required):

5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong emphasis on engineering best practices.
Knowledge of C++.
Experience with self-supervised learning methodologies.
Skilled in optimizing neural networks for resource-constrained platforms, such as mobile or embedded systems.
