Business Development Manager - Fully Remote
At Influx, we’re redefining premium customer support as a service—24/7, 365 days a year—across email, live chat, voice, and social media. From high-growth SaaS and eCommerce brands to entertainment companies and crypto trading platforms, our clients depend on Influx to keep their customers delighted around the clock. We’ve built a month-to-month model (think “AWS for customer support”) that scales effortlessly for startups, scale-ups, and large enterprises alike. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a top-performing Business Development Manager who thrives on closing complex deals and wants to own a massive growth opportunity.
You’ll join a lean, entrepreneurial sales team that prizes accountability, collaboration, and creative solution design. Your primary focus will be on closing high-value deals, nurturing strategic relationships, and executing quarterly initiatives that align directly with Influx’s growth objectives. We move fast, iterate quickly, and reward results.
What You’ll Get:
- Uncapped commission and accelerators from Day One.
- A seat at the table: work directly with our head of sales, and global leadership to shape go-to-market strategy.
- A fully remote, globally distributed team that trusts you to own your pipeline.
- Work with disruptive companies redefining their industries: Retail, Health, Fintech.
The Role
As a Business Development Manager, your mission is straightforward: close new logos and expand existing key accounts. You’ll drive every aspect of the deal closing cycle—conducting discovery calls, delivering custom demos, negotiating proposals, and finalizing contracts—while partnering closely with pre-sales service managers, tech stakeholders and marketers. Beyond individual deals, you’ll own quarterly sales initiatives that tie back to our strategic roadmap: launching targeted campaigns, identifying cross-sell or upsell opportunities, and tracking the metrics that move the needle.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Sales Track Record (3–5 years): You’ve consistently crushed quotas in BPO/CX, digital services or SaaS. Whether you’ve spent ~2+ years as a quota-carrying BDM owning full-cycle sales or ~2+ years as an AE/CSM managing key accounts, you know exactly how to drive revenue and build long-term customer partnerships. Strong presales or solution-design experience paired with commercial acumen also fits the bill.
- Exceptional Communication: You lead conversations with confidence, articulate complex solutions clearly, and know precisely when to listen.
- Strategic Relationship Builder: You forge trusted, multi-stakeholder relationships at every level of the organization. You don’t just sell a service; you become a strategic advisor who helps clients navigate change.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: You’re fired up by high-velocity sales environments and thrive on closing big-ticket deals. Your hustle, persistence, and passion for B2B growth make you the type of AE who always outperforms targets.
Core Responsibilities
- Drive High-Value Closures: Your primary focus is on closing small business and mid-market deals in the US. You guide prospects through discovery calls, tailored demos, proposal negotiations, and contract sign-off—always zeroing in on business impact.
- Nurture Strategic Accounts: Beyond net-new logos, you cultivate and expand existing high-value relationships. You identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities that directly tie to Influx’s quarterly and annual objectives.
- Execute Quarterly Sales Initiatives: You own mission-critical initiatives—whether it’s launching a targeted vertical campaign, collaborating on a partnership playbook, or driving a key upsell program—and you measure results against clear KPIs.
- Collaborate Seamlessly: You partner with BDRs, marketing, and delivery teams to ensure a flawless handoff and exceptional client onboarding. Your feedback loop is always open: you log accurate pipeline data in HubSpot, share insights in weekly sales meetings, and propose process improvements.
Stretch Goals & Professional Growth
- Influence Influx’s Roadmap: Your market insights drive product enhancements, pricing tweaks, and new service offerings. You’re more than a seller—you’re a catalyst for change across sales, delivery, and product teams.
- Forge New Partnership Channels: You identify and cultivate strategic alliances with complementary service providers—opening additional pipelines for pipeline and revenue growth.
