Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in analyzing client needs and recommending tailored absence management solutions.
- Provide guidance to clients on federal, state, and local leave regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leave laws.
- Support clients with program implementation, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage the day-to-day administration of absence programs, including leave tracking and compliance oversight.
- Help ensure that all documentation, processes, and communications are accurate and compliant with legal requirements.
- Assist in creating workflows, policies, and procedures for absence management programs.
- Gather and analyze absence program data to identify trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal and client use, delivering actionable insights.
- Stay informed about updates to absence-related regulations and communicate changes to clients as needed.
- Contribute to the development of best practices for program implementation and administration.
- Work closely with senior consultants, project managers, and operational teams to deliver high-quality absence solutions.
- Assist in identifying and resolving issues related to absence program administration.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the efficiency of absence program delivery.
- Provide input into the development of tools and resources to improve client experiences.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in absence management, benefits administration, or human resources.
- Basic understanding of federal, state, and local leave regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA).
- Ability to review complex renewals for areas of opportunity, ability to lead renewal negotiations with carrier with oversight
- Can conduct alternative design analysis for self-funded disability, leave plans, and paid time off programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with HRIS or absence management systems (e.g., Workday, ADP).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Legal right to work in the United States.
