Outstanding and very reputable, $100mm Manufacturing / Construction company located in Connecticut, is seeking an Assistant Controller for an immediate need! This company has grown over $50mm in the last 12 months and will continue to grow!

Duties:
- Assist the controller in overseeing the accounting department, ensuring proper accounting practices and timely closing of books.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- Support audit processes, both internal and external, by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Manage AP team and ensure all vendors & suppliers are paid in a timely manner
- Coordinate with various departments to gather financial data and ensure accurate reporting.

- Produces and manages balance sheets and analyze future earnings and expenses.
- Assists with management of accounting, auditing and budgeting within the organization.
- Assists with preparations for audits. Works to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances.
- Perform as a key resource in the month end close process.
- Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
- Lead certain ongoing processes including vendor management.
- Royalties Accounting along with Corporate G/L
- Assist with the external financial statement audit.
- Participate in process improvement projects within the finance team.
- Reports to Accounting Manager / Controller
- Assisting the Accounting Director, Tax Director, and other finance managers with cross-functional and compliance-based projects
Qualifications
- BS in Accounting, Masters preferred.
- 4-5 years of Accounting and Finance experience preferred
- CPA preferred or in process
- Strong understanding of accounting theory and practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP, including willingness to research and resolve accounting applications.
- Proficient in ERP software experience
