Senior Director - Regional HR Business Partner - Remote

Our client is one of the fastest growing insurance agencies in the US and they are looking for an experienced Regional Senior HR Business Partner to oversee and support the HR operations across their three key western regions in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Support Regional HR Teams: Act as the escalation point for HR Business Partners within the Western U.S. regions, providing expert guidance on complex HR matters.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as the primary expert on employee relations, advising on best practices and handling high-level employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  • Employment Law Expertise: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Partner with legal teams to mitigate risk and drive policy adherence.
  • Strategic HR Initiatives: Partner with regional business leaders to align HR strategies with business goals, fostering a positive, performance-driven culture.
  • Change Management: Lead HR-driven change initiatives across regions, including organizational restructuring, talent development, and workforce planning.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure HR policies and practices are in line with current legislation, identifying and addressing risks proactively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR role supporting multiple regions.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. employment laws, with specific experience in Western U.S. jurisdictions, notably California.
  • Demonstrated expertise in employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Proven experience in HR strategy and change management.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to travel as needed within the Western U.S region.
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification highly desired.
