They provide outsourced bookkeeping and accounting for growth-minded small business owners and entrepreneurs. They are a small business and work exclusively with other small businesses. They work with owners of small businesses to help them be better organized, make more money, and save on taxes. They assist business owners with monthly bookkeeping, accounting, tax planning and reporting, payroll processing, and back office support services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage end-to-end bookkeeping, including data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Maintain accuracy in debits, credits, and various business entity types
  • Ensure compliance with individual income, small business, and payroll tax laws
  • Safeguard sensitive information and maintain security protocols
  • Efficiently prepare monthly bank reconciliations and sales tax reports
  • Identify and correct errors in Profit & Loss statements
  • Reconcile gross payroll and payroll taxes
  • Set up and maintain QuickBooks files, including bank accounts and chart of accounts
  • Process invoices, payments, sales receipts, and vendor setups for 1099 processing
  • Manage sales tax, liquor tax, and property tax returns
  • Resolve accounts receivable discrepancies

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in U.S. accounting, preferably from an accounting firm
  • Experienced in handling multiple clients
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Bill.com
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Passion for supporting small businesses
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Quickbooks Online certification
  • Experience with Dext and Fathom
  • Experience with client onboarding

  • Own equipment with extra monitor
  • Reliable, stable and high-speed internet
  • Work Environment: with secluded workstation to ensure a private and distraction free space
