How We Operate

[P1] works by selecting positive-impact nonprofit and open source game projects worthy of community support and then collaborates with volunteers to organize the volunteer workforce needed to complete such games.

Role Description

This is a remote volunteer role for a Scrum Master at [P1] Games. The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating Agile practices and principles within the game development teams, ensuring efficient project progress and team dynamics.

Responsibilities

As a volunteer Scrum Master, you have the flexibility to choose your own hours and set your own deadlines. Since we are a volunteer organization, you may choose the responsibilities you feel confident in at any given time:

- Facilitating daily scrum meetings to help the team stay on track with their tasks.

- Assisting the product owner in managing the product backlog for optimal project outcomes.

- Ensuring the team follows Agile principles and practices, adapting processes as necessary for project success.

- Helping to remove impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by fostering a collaborative problem-solving environment.

- Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.

- Supporting and educating the product owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
