How We Operate

[P1] works by selecting positive-impact nonprofit and open source game projects worthy of community support and then collaborates with volunteers to organize the volunteer workforce needed to complete such games.

Role Description

This is a remote volunteer role for a Game Development Mentor at [P1] Games. The Game Development Mentor will be responsible for guiding and supporting volunteer developers in various disciplines, including design, programming, art, and production.

Responsibilities

As a volunteer Game Development Mentor, you have the flexibility to choose your own hours and set your own deadlines. Since we are a volunteer organization, you may choose the responsibilities you feel confident in at any given time:

Providing one-on-one mentorship and guidance to volunteer developers in their respective areas of expertise.
Facilitating workshops and training sessions to improve the skills and knowledge of the development team.
Reviewing game development projects and providing constructive feedback to help improve quality and efficiency.
Assisting volunteers in setting realistic goals and helping them to stay motivated and on track.
Creating a supportive and collaborative environment that fosters learning and professional growth.
Staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in game development to share with the team.
