About the role

The Training Director in Assurance is responsible to drive the division’s business growth to achieve targets for revenues, margins and profit KPIs. The Training Director will work with the marketing, sales, and operations teams, including direct and dotted line reports to them for these functions and be knowledgeable in putting together and contributing to product, marketing, and sales plans. In this position, you should also formulate and implement business strategy to grow and shape the training business in the Americas region, including detailed budgeting and continual financial performance management of the Training business.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the Assurance Americas training business growth by achieving targets for revenues, margins and profit KPI’s.
  • Effective portfolio management using core product carried by the global Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Develop marketing and sales plans related to training activities in conjunction with other departments by identifying new market segments, sources for database expansion in these segments and the product bundles to meet a specific market need.
  • Continuously improving the quality of the development and delivery of training by implementing best business practices across all training teams in Assurance Americas.
  • Provide strategic guidance and direction according to Global Training priorities and initiatives working with the Global Training Director/team to inform, support and develop Global strategy including product, process, people and systems.
  • Develop talent and succession plan for key roles within Training Americas structure.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Ability to manage a P&L for all Americas training business, including sales, revenue, gross margin and profit KPIs.
  • Ability to work in a multi-functional environment and influence the priorities of colleagues, both locally and across a broad spectrum of international offices.
  • Business planning experience and capabilities including contract negotiation and portfolio management expertise.
  • Sales and marketing expertise of e-learning / distance learning products and providing internal learning solutions to corporate client.
  • Experience of cost management for training businesses and budget control.
