Talent Manager

Our large nonprofit client is looking for a talent manager to join their team on a long-term (18+ months) W2 contract.

This is a long-term (18+ months) W2 contract. This position can be fully remote. All McKinley roles include a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various editors to research and identify candidates for special features; become a proven resource to research and locate some of the harder-to-find subjects
  • Screen potential subjects on a wide range of special features and submit to editor(s) for consideration
  • Book talent for features that spotlight celebrities, celebrity chefs, and others represented by publicists
  • Work with a TV and film critic and assist the critic with story ideas such as generating a list of talent and producers with respective contacts for inclusion in upcoming stories
  • Recommend ideas for features to editors
  • Maintain an exhaustive Upcoming Movies List and distribute it to the appropriate teams
  • Regularly read online publications (Deadline, Hollywood Reporter, and Variety) for updates on film titles, studios, casting, release dates and running times
  • Establish and nurture relationships with personal and studio publicists for TV and film
  • Field requests from Photo Dept. on images for TV & film Watch Pages

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience identifying talent for movies, TV shows, or special features
  • Experience working with personal and studio publicists for TV and film
