Job Description:

Saint Laurent Consulting is seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Data Scientist to lead our machine learning (ML) and AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in ML, big data, and cloud technologies, with a passion for developing cutting-edge data solutions. Key Responsibilities:

Machine Learning Strategy:

Develop and implement ML strategies and standards for the organization.
Create a roadmap for ML and large language model (LLM) platforms.
Oversee the efficient deployment, monitoring, and optimization of AI/ML models.
ML Architecture Design and Development:
Design custom architecture for AI/ML pipelines.
Collaborate with technology and business teams to develop Enterprise AI platforms.

Infrastructure Management:

Manage infrastructure required for model training, development, and deployment.
Ensure scalability and efficiency of the AI/ML infrastructure.
Model Deployment and Monitoring:
Lead the deployment of ML models in production environments.
Establish monitoring systems for tracking model performance and optimizing system efficiency.

Automation:

Develop automated pipelines to manage the lifecycle of AI/ML models.
Implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) best practices.

Internal Collaboration:

Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and software developers to build and maintain ML solutions.
Collaborate with business and project management stakeholders to align technical goals with business needs.

Security and Compliance:

Ensure all models and data are compliant with security protocols and industry regulations.
Implement best practices for data protection and privacy.

Documentation and Best Practices:

Maintain comprehensive documentation of MLOps processes.
Ensure adherence to industry standards in machine learning pipeline and model monitoring.

Problem Solving:

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to machine learning deployments, data pipelines, and model performance.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.

Experience:

Minimum 7 years of experience in roles such as Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar positions.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience with machine learning (ML) and large language models (LLMs).
Expertise in ML/LLM deployment, monitoring, and scaling, particularly within enterprise applications.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, NoSQL, and tools like Spark, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Databricks, and MLflow.
Experience with orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Ray, and Airflow.
Familiarity with extractive and generative LLMs and operationalizing LLM pipelines.
Working knowledge of public cloud platforms, including Azure and AWS.

Preferred:

Certification in data science or machine learning-related fields.
Prior experience in healthcare, finance, or government sectors is an asset.
