Seeking talented Data Analyst to transform data into actionable insights for our stakeholders. This role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to grasp business needs, data processing, and creating visualizations with tools such as Looker, Python, and Excel. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, engage with diverse data sources, and communicate insight effectively, serving as a vital partner to both stakeholders and the Data Engineering team.****

Most Important Responsibilities:

  • **Thought Leadership: **Guide internal stakeholders in leveraging data insights effectively.
  • **Stakeholder Partnership: **Collaborate with key stakeholders to prioritize and conduct comprehensive analyses that inform strategic decisions related to portfolio assessment, financial modeling, and growth initiatives.
  • **Data Insights Development: **Generate insights through well-structured data analyses using Looker, SQL, Python, and other tools to enhance learning outcomes.
  • **Advanced Analytics Oversight: **Lead advanced data interpretation, define KPIs and metrics, and develop forecasting and statistical models to predict portfolio behavior.
  • **Collaboration with Data Engineering: **Work with Data Engineering teams to map source data, establish pipelines, and define business rules and reporting requirements to support data integration for various business units.
  • **Data-Driven Culture: **Foster an optimization mindset and promote a data-driven culture across the organization.
  • **Framework and Tool Development: **Create frameworks, models, tools, and processes to embed analytical insights into key decision-making processes.
  • **Self-Service Data Platform Support: **Assist in expanding and maintaining our self-service data platform to enhance data access and insights for the business.
  • **Product Collaboration: **Engage with Product and Engineering teams to implement instrumentation data narratives, establish baselines, and monitor metric trends.
  • **Customer Empowerment: **Contribute to the development of tools, documentation, and training materials that enable customers to utilize data independently.

What you can bring to the table to impact this role, team, and organization:

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and empathy skills to understand and execute stakeholders’ data analytic needs.
  • 7+ years of advanced SQL experience (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience with reporting/visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Looker and LookML
  • Familiarity with Python and related libraries
  • Extensive consultative abilities, including understanding stakeholder needs, identifying implications, and providing design recommendations.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of solution ownership.

Bonus Experience/Skills:

  • Experience in analyzing financial or payment data.
  • Experience in developing self-service analytic platforms.
