Job Title: Sales Development Representative

**Position Description: **The ­­­Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for activities which ensure successful identification and conversion of customer leads. This representative will be an important member of the sales team, playing a critical role in qualifying leads through initial discovery, profiling potential customers, and providing actionable insight on which sales campaigns and efforts elicit the best results. Working in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Product, your primary objective is to identify and create qualified opportunities for our suite of RGR products and solutions.

Job Duties:             

·      Execute outbound communication to new customers

·      Identify customer pain points and needs through initial discovery discussions

·      Qualify interest/viability of potential customers for fir with RGR products and solutions

·      Connect qualified leads to Regional Sales Partners for additional discovery and presentation

·      Provide initial customer follow up, including call/meeting scheduling or product demonstrations

·      Update and maintain customer contact information in HubSpot

·      Provide detailed notes on all outbound and inbound activity in HubSpot including actions taken and next steps for consistent handoff to sales

·      Achieve monthly communication metrics and qualification goals

·      Conduct personal research to stay informed of the education landscape and grow knowledge and understanding of new market trends

·      May perform activities in support of getting on approved vendor lists, responding to RFQs, developing proposals, and other administrative functions related to new sales

Required Education/Skills:

·      Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

·      At least 1+ year of educational experience; prospecting, sales, tech support, customer service, school district experience, or related educational experience

·      At least 1+ year of experience using a CRM/Customer Relationship Management tool, preferably HubSpot

·      Proficient using Google Suite or Microsoft Office, PC/Mac, and Internet experience

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·      Goal orientated, ambitious, creative, self-motivated, persistent, customer focused

·      Self-starter with highly developed interpersonal and organizational skills

This is a remote role typically performed on a computer and requires regular use of a laptop or PC, and telephone. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: 

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time 
  • Regular use of a keyboard, and mouse or trackpad 
  • Frequent viewing of a computer screen 
  • Frequent scrolling and typing
