DescriptionThe American Diabetes Association (ADA) is seeking a Project Manager to join our Program Management Office. The Project Manager has overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, project teams, stakeholders, vendors, and contractual deliverables across multiple projects that improve the lives of people living with diabetes. Reporting to the Program Director, this role has responsibility to drive for the renewal and expansion of contracts. The Project Manager will be responsible for multiple projects that vary in size and scope including managing internal and complex cross-functional teams and external relationships. The Project Manager also plays a key role in the facilitation, support, training, and management of project improvement activities across the Association.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Aligns resources to accomplish project tasks and key milestones with clear accountability for project deliverables
  • Communicates and collaborates with development and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and seek funding for new projects, programs, and systems.
  • Directs the work of a project team with overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, staffing and stakeholders, vendors, and contractual deliverables.
  • Accountable for project deliverables, overall project success, and revenue goals associated with contract renewals to expand ADA’s offerings.
  • Serves as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, volunteers, customers, and vendors.
  • Maintains process documentation and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement for all organization initiatives.
  • Facilitates quality management and change management techniques for project management.
  • Effectively estimates and plans project resources, schedules, and budgets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5 to 7 years of work experience in project management and/or delivery of programs, products, or services
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification is preferred
  • Understanding of project management methodologies, such as PMBOK or PRINCE 2
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Project Management products (MS Project, MS Teams, SharePoint, and Visio)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
