About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and patient-focused Patient Scheduling Specialist to join our remote healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient appointment scheduling, verifying information, and providing top-notch service. A clear American accent is mandatory, as communication with U.S.-based patients is a key part of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle inbound and outbound calls to schedule and confirm patient appointments
Update and verify patient demographics and insurance information
Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to optimize scheduling
Respond to patient inquiries in a courteous and professional manner
Document all scheduling interactions accurately in the system
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
Fluent in English with a clear American accent (Required)
Prior experience in a healthcare or call center environment preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and ability to multitask
Must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet work setup
Comfortable working U.S. hours (evening/night IST)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using EMR/EHR systems
Knowledge of insurance terminology
Previous U.S. healthcare experience is a plus
