The position is accountable for the decision making process for determining leave of absence eligibility under federal and state laws as well as system policy. The LOA Specialist is responsible for communicating with employees and management regarding leave availability and requirements. Other duties as assigned.

**EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:**Associate's degree is required. In lieu of degree, candidates with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience will be considered.

**SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:**Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to leave of absence.

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Professional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to identify critical issues and exercise independent judgment.

Demonstrated detail orientation with the ability to analyze, problem solve, organize and manage multiple priorities, and excellent follow-up skills.
