We are looking for an IT Project Coordinator who will play a pivotal role in overseeing and driving all aspects of projects within the IT Team (IT, DevOps, Security and Data Engineering), ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently from inception to completion. You will collaborate closely with the IT Team members, as well as executives, to ensure alignment on project goals, progress, and scope. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Sure’s expansion across the insurance industry.

What you'll be doing:

  • Coordinate with IT, DevOps, Security, and Data Engineering to facilitate project meetings in conjunction with their teams, ensuring consistent creation and updating of project tracking.
  • Partner with the VP of Information Technology to work with managers on prioritizing and tracking cross-team projects, as well as projects supporting other departments and business objectives.
  • Facilitate regular touchpoints between the teams and other divisions to ensure projects and maintenance efforts are identified and progressing on schedule.
  • Coordinate information security and compliance weekly, monthly, quarterly meetings, ensuring meetings, agendas, and slides are prepared in advance and notes from the meetings are recorded.
  • Create, update, track projects and create and refine reporting mechanisms to assist management team to identify and summarize team accomplishments and capacity management.
  • Participate in departmental budgeting and goal setting process to maintain awareness of long-term and short-term project priorities.

What we're looking for:

  • At least 4 years of Project Management experience, preferably with IT infrastructure
  • College degree or trade school preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of information technology and information security operations
  • Familiarity with SOC2, PCI, ISO 27001/2 or HIPPA processes
  • Experience leveraging tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Airtable, Smartsheet, Office 365, Shortcut, Notion, Zoom, etc.
  • Ability to assist multiple stakeholders with their projects; incorporate and track inputs from across the team and interdepartmentally
  • Ability to communicate effectively with variety of personality types across the IT spectrum and find effective ways to assist in documenting project accomplishment
  • Demonstrated competence in key project management best practices: schedule construction and management, risk assessment/mitigation, change management, and predictive metrics
  • Encourage, support, and guide continuous improvement of the team and processes
  • Comfortable working independently and being able to make decisions that add value to the business without direction.
  • Ability to travel to Los Angeles twice per year for in-person team collaboration
  • PMP certification, or equivalent certification, strongly preferred
