A leading social housing provider is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Governance to oversee its Governance and Risk teams during a period of operational stability and strategic transition.

This is a fully remote assignment, initially for six months.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Leading and managing the Governance and Risk functions, ensuring compliance, oversight, and strategic alignment
Maintaining business-as-usual operations while driving forward key governance projects
Supporting structural change initiatives, including:
Corporate structure consolidation
Rationalisation and closure of group entities
Preparing for and potentially managing engagement with the Regulator of Social Housing
Advising senior stakeholders and the board on governance best practice within a complex organisational setting

The Ideal Candidate

You will:

Have held senior-level roles in governance within the social housing sector
Be experienced in leading governance and risk teams through change and transformation
Have a strong track record of working in complex group structures, particularly with entity rationalisation or consolidation
Be confident in regulated environments, with a good understanding of compliance expectations and regulator inspections
