Job Title: Employee Relations - Accommodation Business Partner

Job Duration: 6+month contract (Possibility for extension)

Job Location: Austin TX - Remote

Employee Relations is a global team that assists managers and the People Team in dealing with employee issues and concerns including policy interpretation, investigations and compliance.

The Accommodation Business Partner designs and administers proactive programs, procedures, and plans related to employee relations activities.

In this role, you will provide guidance and training to Employee Relations partners, People Business Partners, managers, and employees on employee relations issues related to medical conditions, such as leave policies and reasonable accommodations.

This role helps to improve ER efficiencies with metric-driven continuous improvement and ensures that legal requirements are met in terms of employee relations to minimize exposure to liability.

Job Description

Provide initial support re: consulting with ER/People partners, managers and employees on a myriad of issues, including:

Leaves of absence

Reasonable accommodations

Unauthorized Leaves

Position Backfill Requests

Returns from leave of absence with complex accommodations

Managing Job Searches from start to conclusion

Manage communication flow from multiple sources in an effort to reduce delays in employee requests for assistance.

Provide support for internal partners, like Accessibility, Facilities, and EH&S,, to streamline accommodation processes/support

Create and manage a high volume of accommodation & leave cases to ensure data integrity.

Review on a monthly/quarterly basis to assess where action can be taken to identify trends, simplify a process, support consistency across the global Accommodation team, train managers, etc. to support a growing client base

Will be supporting or leading ER projects/initiatives as needed

Key Qualifications

A seasoned, experienced professional with a demonstrated full understanding of U.S. Leave laws, deep subject matter expertise of ADA/ADAAA regulations, and implementation experience.

Experience in providing consultation on the accommodation process to managers, HR professionals, employees, and business partners.

Proven ability to drive resolution on a wide range of leave and accommodation issues, including ADA analysis and practical application.

3+ years of experience in triaging and analyzing multiple (simple and complex) accommodation requests in a high volume capacity. Or related experience as a line HR manager with demonstrated Employee Relations and Accommodation experience

Proven ability to work independently, including the ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously

Demonstrated command skills and an ability to express thoughts clearly and concisely & influence others

Proven ability to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively with leadership, internal and external partners, and People team (HR) colleagues

Exceptional communication skills, including effective listening, writing, and presentation

Project Management experience preferred

Education

BA or 5+ years of equivalent job experience
