About The Role
We are seeking a Remote Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will handle inbound calls from patients regarding their billing and account questions and may also make follow-up outbound calls when needed. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive patient experience by delivering timely, accurate, and empathetic support. You will work in a fast-paced environment where professionalism, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are key to success.
Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound customer service calls and occasional outbound follow-up calls
- Understand the nature of each call and work towards first-call resolution
- Assist patients with billing-related inquiries, concerns, or complaints professionally and efficiently
- Refer complex issues to the appropriate content experts or escalate to a supervisor when necessary
- Maintain composure under pressure and communicate effectively with patients and team members
- Perform all duties while adhering to high service and compliance standards
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience in an inbound call center or customer service environment preferred
- Experience with hospital billing or insurance reimbursement is a plus
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage challenging interactions with empathy and professionalism
- Comfort working in a structured environment and using multiple systems simultaneously
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work with a headset in a call center setup
- Competitive hourly pay ($15.80 - $23.70 per hour based on location, experience, and qualifications)
