Strive is one of the fastest growing asset managers in the United States, having raised over $1.6B in AUM in our first two years. Founded in 2022, we’re just getting started, and we’re looking for dynamic team members to join us in our mission to maximize value for clients by leading companies to focus on excellence.

To further this mission, Strive is hiring 1099 contractors for a short-term (5-month) remote 40-hour/week project to support the Corporate Governance team’s research and voting efforts this proxy season. Strive will need contractors beginning February 15, with peak workloads from mid-April through mid-June. You will work both independently and collaboratively to research and recommend proxy votes that further Strive’s commitment to maximize value for its clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As a part of Strive’s Corporate Governance team, review and research companies’ proxy statements and report shareholder vote recommendations to Corporate Governance leadership.
  • Apply knowledge of policy, politics and industry trends to inform research on companies’ corporate governance and executive leadership proposals in a manner consistent with Strive’s commitment to maximize value for its clients.
  • Closely monitor and adhere to Strive’s internal ballot timelines and review process to ensure all votes are cast by their deadline.
  • Assist with ongoing time-sensitive projects as-needed, communicating progress updates to team members and effectively meeting deadlines.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • An understanding of Strive and its commitment to shareholder primacy.
  • General knowledge of current affairs and their impact on Corporate America and financial industry trends.
  • Ability to take direction, and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficient in online platforms such as Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Proficient in general online research and can easily adapt to new tools and websites.
  • Ability to commit to 40-hours/week preferred; however, part-time contracts may be considered for exceptional candidates.
