About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Intern to support our compliance team in helping campaigns, PACs, and nonprofit organizations navigate complex reporting and regulatory requirements. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in accounting, political law, public policy, nonprofit management, or government affairs. You'll gain hands-on experience in campaign finance and nonprofit compliance while working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of federal, state, and local compliance filings for political committees, PACs, and nonprofit organizations.


  • Enter and organize financial and contributor data in compliance tracking systems under supervision.


  • Help maintain internal filing systems, calendars, and compliance checklists.


  • Contribute to the development of client-facing materials and training resources.


  • Attend team meetings, take notes, and assist with project coordination as needed.


  • Perform other compliance-related tasks as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.


  • Interest in campaign finance, elections, government ethics, or nonprofit regulation.


  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and comfort working with data.


  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.


  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.


  • Integrity, discretion, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior internship or volunteer experience with a political campaign, nonprofit organization, advocacy group, or government office.


  • Familiarity with FEC filings, IRS nonprofit regulations, or political data systems (e.g., NGP VAN, ActBlue).
