Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Buyer to join our client’s expanding team, reporting directly to the VP of Global Supply Chain. This role will focus on vendor management, cost control, and supply chain optimization as our client broadens their international presence. Key responsibilities include managing supplier interactions, overseeing ERP system implementations, and driving data integrity projects. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, detail-oriented, and proficient in procurement processes, with strong communication skills and fluency in English plus a second language. Experience with Epicor, Salesforce, and industry-specific materials is highly desirable.

Location

Remote with up to 25% global travel.

Compensation

Comprised of a competitive base salary, bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead company interactions with key suppliers.
  • Manage supplier lead times and material availability to meet customer requirements.
  • Work with suppliers on new product support and DfX projects.
  • Approve payments and align open order data across systems.
  • Monitor supply base for pricing trends, new entrants, and new solutions.
  • Ensure a successful ERP implementation as a super user.
  • Lead data mapping projects and data integrity audits.
  • Assist in onboarding and managing customer orders.
  • Additional duties and special projects as needed.

Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years in Procurement/Supply Base Mgmt./Supply Chain/Planning.
  • Solid experience with Epicor and Salesforce and/or other PDM/ERP/CRM systems. ERP implementation experience is a big plus.
  • Proficient in PC Windows or Apple Mac, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bilingual: spoken and written fluency in English and a second language that can aid our European expansion (Bulgarian, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, or Polish).
  • Experience with structural steel, aluminum extrusions, and/or multiwall polycarbonate is a big plus.
  • APICS training and certification are a plus.
  • Previous management experience is a big plus.
  • Open to a fully remote employee with a home office; in-office work in Minden, NV is also a possibility.
  • Able to travel up to 25% when needed; current passport; fully vaccinated.
