CORAF (West and Central African Council for Agricultural Research and Development) is an international non-profit association comprising national agricultural research systems from 23 West and Central African countries. As one of the four sub-regional organizations making up the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), CORAF collaborates with ASARECA, CCARDESA, and NASRO to strengthen agricultural research and development across the continent. CORAF aims to improve agricultural productivity and support research initiatives to foster sustainable development in the region.

This is a part-time consulting and remote role for an Associate Research Fellow. The Associate Research Fellow will be responsible for conducting research in agricultural science, analyzing data, preparing research reports, and collaborating with national and international stakeholders.
The role involves developing a strong methodology for collecting Metadata and draft a manuscript/research paper contributing to the advancement of agricultural practices, and publishing findings in reputable journals.

Qualifications

  • Experience in agricultural research, data analysis, and research project implementation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and publications
  • Ability to collaborate with national and international stakeholders
  • Proficiency in statistical software and data management tools
  • Knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices and development
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Master’s degree in Agricultural Science, Research, or a related field
  • Experience with publishing research in reputable journals is a plus
