About Us

Liu Chooti Law & Counselling Group is a multidisciplinary practice that offers legal and counselling services both independently and in tandem based on client needs. Our counselling practice focuses on individual, couples and family therapy as well as inclusion consulting and training. Our legal services focus on family law, landlord and tenant matters, civil litigation, immigration law, employment and labour law, and human rights, with plans to expand into real estate and other areas.

Co-founded by a lawyer and a social worker—both with various equity-seeking identities—our firm is committed to social justice, equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed principles in both our practice and workplace culture. We work from an intersectional, client-centred lens that acknowledges systemic barriers and promotes healing, advocacy, and justice. We strongly encourage applications from those who share these values and are eager to work in a firm led by equity-seeking professionals to apply.

Liu Chooti Law & Counselling Group operates on the traditional territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe Nation. We acknowledge the ongoing impacts of colonialism on Indigenous communities and recognize our responsibility to uphold Indigenous rights and sovereignty in all aspects of our work. We encourage everyone to learn more about the Indigenous lands they reside on by visiting Native Land.
