Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conduct forensic investigations to determine the root cause of security breaches and identify indicators of compromise (IOCs).
  • Work with cross-functional teams to contain and mitigate security incidents, including coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Document incident response activities, findings, and remediation measures in detailed technical reports.
  • Develop and maintain incident response playbooks, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members on incident response techniques and procedures.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in cybersecurity incident response or related roles.
  • Solid understanding of incident response methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with network security monitoring tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and responding to incidents under pressure.

Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically during security incidents.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO, and MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Familiarity with digital forensics tools and techniques for collecting and analyzing evidence.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders during incident response activities.
  • Commitment to staying updated on the latest trends, tools, and techniques in cybersecurity incident response.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security threats.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • While at work, this position is primarily a sedentary job and requires that the associate can work in an environment where they will consistently be seated for most of the workday
  • This role requires that one can sit and regularly type on a keyboard most of their workday
  • This position requires the ability to observe a computer screen for extended periods to observe their own and others’ work, as well as incoming and outgoing communications via the computer and/ or mobile devices.
  • The role necessitates the ability to listen and speak clearly to customers and other associates.
