BIM Engineer – Computational Geometry & Software Development (Remote | UAE Client)
We’re building a cutting-edge AI-powered platform that automates building code compliance using BIM data — and we’re looking to add two key engineering roles to support this mission.
📐 Domain: AI x Construction x BIM
🌍 Remote – work from anywhere, with some overlap in Gulf Standard Time
1. Computational Engineer
Help us structure and interpret complex geometric and parametric data from IFC models to validate building rules in architecture, structure, and MEP.
You’ll work on:
- Parsing and analyzing 3D model geometry
- Designing algorithms for spatial rule validation (e.g., distance to exits, clearance, clashes)
- Interpreting coordinate systems and parametric logic
- Supporting integration with the compliance engine
Tech: Python, IfcOpenShell, BIM geometry libraries, NumPy, computational geometry
Bonus: Experience with structural analysis, physics engines, or GIS
You’ll build and maintain tools that extract, convert, and serve data from BIM models (especially IFC) to downstream AI and validation pipelines.
You’ll work on:
- Parsing and cleaning IFC files (IFC2x3 / IFC4 / IFC4.3)
- Mapping model data to rule engines
- Building preprocessing tools to convert BIM data into structured formats
- Supporting integration with Revit APIs or openBIM workflows
Tech: Python, IfcOpenShell, xBIM (C#), Revit API, Speckle, JSON schemas
Bonus: BIM automation or plugin development experience
- Work with a high-impact, forward-thinking team shaping the future of regulatory compliance
- Tackle real-world challenges with AI, BIM, and automation
- Join a collaborative remote team delivering for government-scale clients
